Sony FE 24 mm f/1.4 GM review

After using a cheap Sony APS-C camera for several years, I made the jump to full-frame earlier this year. The Sony A7 III was my new body of choice. My main considerations were related to low-light photography, and the increased noise that's always present on images shot with APS-C sensors. But as with any mirrorless camera, what truly makes them shine is the glass. And full-frame glass is magnitudes more expensive. Since my existing APS-C lenses worked well with the new camera, I wasn't rushing to purchase a new lens to go with the camera body.

A few weeks ago, I got my hands on my first real Sony G Master lens. The Sony FE 24 mm f/1.4 GM. This wide-angle lens sports an impressive aperture. I took it around the Floriade on a rainy afternoon. Below are some resulting images.

I found this lens to be really impressive. It's incredibly sharp, and at 1.4f, the bokeh looks absolutely stunning.
